Humans used to do a better job of living in balance with the natural world.
Then we created civilizations, economic systems, and technologies that separated us—from each other, from nature, from our health, from our food, from our communities, from our focus, from our joy. Pretty much from everything that we need to live meaningful happy lives. This has created some REALLY BIG problems.
Luckily, the solution is a lot less complicated than those problems:
We can turn things around by tuning back in. That’s it. That’s the magic.
And no, it’s not some pie-in-the sky wishful thinking. It’s math. Small, joyful actions really do ladder up to large-scale meaningful change.
Here’s how it works:

Here’s how it works: 👇

1-You reconnect.
You start making time to reconnect with yourself, other people, and nature. It feels really good. You opt out of the doomscroll and discover a renewed sense of wellbeing and purpose.
2-You care.
The more you reconnect, the more you care. You begin to invest in your own wellbeing and joy. You discover the particular ways that the living world—in your own small corner of it—is beautiful and fragile.
3-You protect.
When you care about stuff, you want to protect it. You find that there are many ways for you to take meaningful action right where you live. And that these actions bring you joy.
4-You feel joy.
The more you protect, the more joy you feel. Your friends and family ask what you’ve been doing differently, because you suddenly radiate vitality. You tell them.
5-The joy is contagious.
Your friends and family want to join you. Strangers, too! They start composting. They dust off old bikes. They organize climate justice initiatives in their own communities. They feel great.
6-Enough people taking joyful action
is a revolution.
The cycle repeats. The ripple effects of this action turn into waves. The entire cultural consciousness is reshaped, and suddenly people have a new, expansive awareness of just how great our collective future can be.
There’s a lot hanging in the balance right now, but we choose our future every day. We can stay isolated, separated, and trapped in the doomscroll, or we can take joyful action to protect the things we love. This is how we can turn things around. This is how we can save the humans.
